Dynamique de l’affranchissement d’une partie du discours: l’adjectif en français

Notre étude met en évidence le passage de l’adjectif de la combinatoire libre,
où il est incident à un nom, aux formes affranchies, où l’adjectif quitte définitivement son support substantival et devient soit incident à lui-même
(substantivation), soit incident à un verbe (adverbialisation), avec l’explication de la modalité de réalisation de la libération de l’adjectif de son support substantival et avec la description du mécanisme de l’affranchissement.
Nous avons défini et expliqué un paramètre qui met en évidence le processus d’affranchissement de l’adjectif. Nous avons analysé les valeurs et les propriétés de l’adjectif affranchi (substantivé, respectivement adverbialisé) par comparaison à celles de l’adjectif en combinatoire libre.

Our research focuses on the analysis of adjectival behaviour along the evolution from free combinations, where the adjective modifies a noun, to free forms where the adjective leaves its nominal support and becomes a modifier of itself (nominalization) or a verbal modifier (adverbialization). We have studied the evolution of the adjective from free combinations to free forms, explaining the way the adjective is set free from its nominal support and describing the mechanism of release. We have also defined and explained a parameter which emphasizes the adjectival release process. Finally, we have analyzed the characteristics and values of the adjectival release (nominalized or adverbialized) in comparison with those of the adjective in free combination.
