Aesthetic Criteria in Arts and Literature
Abstract
Given the fact that literature and arts are very much connected, we will focus our attention on the elements that are representative for the world of expression in these two fields, especially, insisting on the aesthetic criteria of Yves Michaud and “The Transfiguration of the Commonplace: A Philosophy of Art” by Arthur Danto. Consequently, the focus of our present study will be the analysis of the same aesthetic criteria applied to two distinct, yet complementary fields: the art of words and the art of visual elements.
