Abstract:

The concept of "principled negotiation", developed by Fisher and Ury in "Getting to Yes", is one of the most influential approaches in current negotiation theory.

However, it is important to recognize three critical academic issues aboutprincipled negotiation. (1) Why principled negotiation and positional bargaining (the method of principled negotiation is contrasted with hard and soft positional bargaining.) emerge, (2) how to deal with principled negotiation in reality and(3)how to make a principled negotiation with theoretical support.

This paper is written to study those problems by applying psychological theory of Transactional Analysis (TA). According to negotiation mechanism analysis based on TA, this paper is set up a new SESCO model (Situation -Ego- Strokes strategy —Complementary transaction - Objective) on negotiation. Firstly, identify the ego state both oneself and others in a specific negotiation situation. Secondly, meet needs with each other by exchange of strokes. Thirdly, adopt complementary transaction to get win-win objective.

Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to measure the negative effects of recent developments in the Turkish tourism sector on the financial failures of companies on Istanbul Stock Exchange tourism index. Financial tables of companies in the tourism sector during 2009-2016 period were analyzed with Altman Z Score Model and it was researched whether they carry the of bankruptcy risk or not. However, the exchange prices of the stocks are compared with the calculated Z scores and the probability of bankruptcy that was measured to what extent the priced in the exchange.

Result of analyzes show that the problems occurred in 2015-2016 years increased tourism companies' bankruptcy risk. In this period, there was no significant change in stock prices of companies in general. Panel data regression analysis results also did not provide evidence for the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the likelihood of bankruptcy and its effect on prices.

Predicting the risk of bankruptcy is of vital importance for both companies and shareholders. Findings will make a significant contribution in determining strategy for companies in this sector. The results from the other side will also guide investors on their share preferences.

Abstract:

Romania's country image is one of the most controversial topics in the media over the past few years. Soon after the fall of communism in 1989, this issue became part of the public debate about the international perception of Romanian people, about the ways in which Romania is depicted in the international press, or about the country's position in the process of Europeanization. In this context, the paper focuses on 53 news articles on Romania's nation brand and on the national image building problem in four newspapers (Adevărul, Gândul, Jurnalul Național, Dilema Veche), published during January 2011 — March 2014. In so doing, a social-constructivist approach is employed, by combining qualitative content analysis (Schreier, 2012) with media frames analysis (Entman, 1993). The results show that four dominant frames emerge: nationalism (discourses on national identity used by the journalists), neoliberal commercialism (the marketability of nation branding initiatives), cultural values (culture as a practice involved in promoting a country), and country image (the public image of Romania internationally) frames. The Romanian journalistic discourse is built on evaluation strategies, insisting on political responsibility.
